Hobee’s California Restaurants is making its way to downtown San Jose! The new location will be at 261 North Second Street, the former site of Ludwig’s German Table near St. James Park.
Expected to open in late summer, the San Jose restaurant will offer Hobee’s beloved classics, including their world-famous blueberry coffeecake. However, this eatery will have a unique twist compared to the chain's other Bay Area outposts. It will feature an expansive outdoor Beer Garden, an array of local craft beers to complement their salads, burgers, and shareables, and extended evening service.
Camille Chijate, President of Hobee’s, expressed excitement about introducing their new concept to downtown San Jose. While breakfast and lunch have been their forte, the addition of the Beer Garden is expected to attract new customers. Chijate envisions creating a fresh and enjoyable spin on the Hobee’s experience, establishing the restaurant as a neighborhood gathering spot.
As part of their community engagement, Hobee’s plans to expand their renowned “Hobee’s In The Community” program, focusing on donations and fundraisers for downtown San Jose non-profits, schools, and civic groups.
