SummerHill Homes Plans Nearly 300 New Apartments in North San Jose
A major new housing project is moving forward in North San Jose. SummerHill Homes acquired a prime development site and securing financing to bring hundreds of new residences to the area.
Located at 210 Baypointe Parkway, the 4.3-acre property was purchased for $13.5 million by SummerHill through an affiliated entity, as recorded in county documents filed April 30. The land previously housed a one-story, 67,000-square-foot office and research building, which will be removed to make way for new housing.
SummerHill Homes has secured a $43.2 million construction loan from Comerica Bank to support the buildout of the project.
Plans call for a seven-story apartment building with 292 units, offering a mix of floor plans and modern living amenities. Highlights will include a resort-style podium courtyard with a pool and spa, rooftop decks, a clubroom, and a fitness studio. All designed to enhance resident comfort and community.
In addition to the apartment building, SummerHill has received approval for a nearby 42-unit townhome community. Featuring three-story residences designed for buyers looking for more space in a well-connected location.
This new development adds to the growing momentum for housing in North San Jose, bringing thoughtfully planned, amenity-rich living options to a key corridor of the city.
