Symphony Silicon Valley and Target have joined forces to again bring the Summer Pops Concert Series to downtown San Jose. Beginning this weekend, enjoy five nights of diverse musical styles. Saturday, July 30, enjoy classical favorites including Tchaikovsky, Offenbach, and Ravel. On Sunday, bring the whole family out for an Adventure Concert – orchestral favorites for kids and kids-at-heart – including music from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. The next weekend brings Noche Caliente: Target Latin Night with special guests San Jose Taiko; Big Band Dance Hits; and Hurray for Hollywood – a night of glamour and classic movie themes. Best of all, this is a FREE event! You can’t beat that. So bring a picnic dinner and a lawn chair and grab some real estate on the green at San Jose State University in downtown San Jose (enter at 4th and San Carlos Street).
